13 more CISF personnel tests positive for Covid19, making the mark reach to 48

On Saturday, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) reported 13 new cases of COVID-19 amongst its personnel. So far, 48 CISF personnel have been tested corona positive.

As per Press Trust of India, among 48 COVID-19 patients, 31 CISF personnel were serving in Delhi Metro protection unit. In the last 24 hours, at least 10 new cases were reported from Delhi Metro guarding unit.

A CISF official stated that 13 personnel of the force deployed at several places across the country have tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours after which the total number of the affected person in the force is 48. He said that among 13, 10 personnel were deployed in Delhi with DMRC whereas, two were deployed at Ahmedabad airport and one at Mumbai airport.

In the Mumbai international airport, 13 CISF personnel were reported corona positive for novel coronavirus guarding unit. Other COVID-19 cases were reported from the CISF units in Delhi airport, Ahmedabad airport and Kolkata Port Trust. CISF personnel are amongst the front line warriors against COVID-19 war.

The BSF said that 30 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed from different establishments. All of them were under the best available medication care at AIIMS Jhajjar and at GB Pant Hospital, Agartala.
The press release stated, “Frequencies of sanitization efforts of workplaces/living barracks have been increased. BSF personnel are repeatedly sensitized to firmly adhere to preventive protocols”.

News agency PTI stated, the paramilitary forces or the Central Armed Police Forces has reported over 540 positive cases now, Five of CAPF personnel got martyred combatting with the virus.

Home Minister Amit Shah conducted a review meeting of Directors General of All Central Armed Police Forces. He appreciated the commendable work done by CAPF personnel in the battle against COVID-19. “Entire nation is proud of our CAPF personnel for their contribution in this fight against COVID-19,” Shah Tweeted.

“The Central government is committed towards the safety, security and well being of every CAPF personnel,” Shah said.
Now, the total number of COVID-19 cases reported in India gone up to 59,662. So far 1,981 died of coronavirus in the country. Maharashtra was the highest number of COVID-19 cases around 20,000 cases.
