Two high ranking commanders including the 4 Hizb-ul Mujahideen terrorists have been killed in an encounter by the security forces in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir.
9 terrorists have been killed in the past 24 hours by the security forces. the encounter began in the initial hours of Monday, June 8 by the central armed police forces and army.
The internet services have been temporarily stopped and the people have been advised not to come out of their houses due to the encounter ongoing in the district.
On Sunday, in the Urban area of the district 5 of the militants and one commander were killed in the encounter by the security forces. A spokesperson of the police force said that a search operation was launched after the cordon by the security forces.
It was further told that as the security forces moved forward in the targetted area for the search operation, the militants launched a fire at the party while hiding that was retaliated into the encounter.
The bodies of the killed Hizb-ul Mujahideen militants were recovered from the site of encounter ensuring the encounter.
