Actress Dipika Kakkar is an Indian television actress who is famously known for her role of Simran in ‘Sasural Simar Ka‘ and Sonakshi in ‘Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum‘. She was also an active participant in Bigg Boss 12, which she later went on to win. The actor was previously married to Raunak Mehta after which she married Shoaib Ibrahim in 2018. Dipika recently attended the launch of a sweet shop at a hotel in Mumbai, where she was surrounded by the press who went on to ask her if the couple were expecting a child anytime soon. The actress laughed at this and sarcastically replied, ‘Really? Meri life ke baare mein aap mujhe khush khabri de rahe ho, wow!’ which translates to ‘You are giving me good news about my life‘.
The duo recently addressed the criticisms they received for taking a hiatus from, with Shoaib giving out the following statement, ‘Aaplog kehte ho ke actor ko naukrani bana diya hai’ (You guys say we have made an actor a servant at home) and Dipika adding on to with, ‘I think they are frustrated in their own lives and can thus never find satisfaction and happiness. I have worked tirelessly for years and now it’s my choice to do fewer projects. People who have an issue with me cooking and cleaning my house, I want to ask them if they use the same term for their mothers?‘.
