Poonawalla wrote on his Twitter, “Developing a vaccine is like riding a rollercoaster; there are plenty of ups and downs. Sometimes we fail, sometimes we succeed, but we must be patient and not jump to conclusions too early. We must wait for all phase 3 trials to be completed”.

Recently it has been revealed that the vaccine being used by the scientists at the Oxford University, has failed to provide protection to the monkeys from the deadly coronavirus. But it has proved fruitful to resist them from pneumonia.

Taking into account the Oxford vaccine’s performance on the monkeys, the researchers are stimulated to test the vaccine’s potency in humans.

The capability of the vaccine had also prompted the Serum Institute of India to declare mass manufacturing of the vaccine in the country. It is one of the seven intercontinental firms that is jointly working to manufacture the vaccine created by the Oxford vaccine group.
