AIADMK demands the deletion of ‘non-factual scenes about Jayalalithaa from Thalaivi.

Senior AIADMK (All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam) leader and former minister, Mr D Jayakumar, who watched the film at a movie theatre, revealed how a few of the facts in the movies were, in fact, untrue, but went on to agree how even without the false information the movie would still be a hit and is sure that it will receive good reviews from both the party members and the general public. The party as a whole then objected to a few scenes in the movie which starred Jayalalithaa and MG Ramachandran and demanded that those scenes be deleted.

One of the scenes which were demanded to be deleted showed Ramachandran (MGR) seeking a minister post in the first Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) government, which was denied by the late M Karunanidhi. This scene was talked about by Mr Jayakumara who confirmed that the MGR was never behind any such posts. A few other scenes which were demanded to be deleted were: Jayalalithaa going behind Ramachandran’s back and getting in touch with Indra Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi and Ramachandran belittling Jayalalithaa.
