Laxmi Bomb is a comedy-horror movie written and directed by Raghava Lawrence. It is his Hindi directorial debut. The film is a remake of Muni 2: Kanchana. The movie stars Akshay Kumar, Kiara Advani, Tusshar Kapoor, Sharad Kelkar and others in pivotal roles.
The principal photography of the film started on 22 April 2019 with the shoot of the song Bismillah. On January 2020, the entire star cast filmed Burj Khalifa song in Dubai. The film was wrapped up on 1 March 2020.
The film was all set to release into the theatres on 22 May 2020 but due to COVID-19 pandemic, the film got postponed. On 29 June 2020, a virtual press conference was conducted by Disney+Hotstar where the actor Akshay Kumar announced that the movie will release on Disney+Hotstar.
Ever since this announcement is made Laxmi Bomb is making headlines. Through some sources, it is said that the movie was to release on 9 September 2020 on Disney+Hotstar but it got postponed again and will release on Diwali 2020. As of now, the date 13 November 2020 is tentative because a little bit of post-production work is remaining. So, when Akshay Kumar will return from London after his shooting for Bell Bottom, the team of Laxmi Bomb will wrap up those portions. Meanwhile, the team of Laxmi Bomb is working hard to release the film on time.
