Ammy Virk shares a “strong cryptic post” on farmers protesting on Delhi borders

Amid the escalating protests at the Singhu, Tikri and Ghazipur borders with farmers demonstrating against the new farm laws, stars and celebrities to have shown solidarity with the farmers’ cause.

Last week, the protesting farmers were joined by the All India Taxi Union which threatened to go on strike from Dec 3 if the ‘anti-farmer laws’ stayed unrevoked. Now, Punjabi star, singer, songwriter and actor Ammy Virk to have come out in open support of the farmers.

Virk’s tweet dated Nov 29 championed farmers’ cause, requesting his fans to support them in the name of humanity. He urged his followers to tweet, retweet and use hashtags as each of them counted and contributed to the cause. Besides Ammy Virk, numerous other Punjabi artists, among the likes of Diljit Dosanjh, Honey Singh and Guru Randhawa, have been regularly posting on their social media accounts, voicings farmers’ concern and requesting the government to pay heed to and resolve farmers’ apprehensions.

In the same vein, Virk shared a cryptic post on his Instagram handle picturing farmers behind barricades, raising their placards high which read-‘We are farmers, not terrorists’ and ‘We are farmers, we feed the world‘. Similar images have been shared on social media by other celebrities as well.
