On the occasion of World Environment Day, a lot of celebrities took to their social media accounts to post about it and share with their fans and followers their thoughts. Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor’s husband Anand Ahuja also took to Instagram to share a note he had penned down himself.
Anand went ahead to write about what humanity actually meant to him. He also explained how we, as individuals can bring about the changes we want to see around us.
He wrote, “All the things we value – equality, justice, free speech, human rights – are concepts that establish our humanity.
As humans, we are special in that we have the capacity to expand our minds and see things from the perspective of those around us – to empathise… to empathise with the hunger, needs and fears of other people. Once we can understand what others need, we can create
the resources necessary to provide for and protect others. This is how humanity is conserved & built.
In a time where we lack visible leadership from the positions in which we expect them the most, let us all be the leaders we wish we had – lead in the way we wish we were lead – enabling contribution, encouraging awareness and inspiring empathy- such that we never
forget what humanity is capable of.

Earlier, Sonam trended a great deal for her loved-up anniversary post for Anand Ahuja. They got married in May of 2018.
