Actor Angad Bedi has come out in support of farmers protesting over Delhi borders for their rights against the three farm laws passed by the Union government.
Angad took to his Instagram handle, where he shared a photograph of a helpless Sikh farmer and captioned it “The face that feeds billions…Aaj Sadak par hai!!! Protect the farmers #kisaanmajdoorektazindabad “.
Various Bollywood celebrities and known personalities of the cricket and entertainment industry like Harbhajan Singh, Navjyot Singh Sidhu, Taapsee Pannu, Diljit Dosanjh, Sonu Sood etc. have also supported the agitating farmers of Punjab via their social media handles.
The issue has been extremely problematic for the country since farmers are the ones who provide us with food and since food is basic to every human existing. Hence, celebrities have been spreading the awareness to stand for those who provide you food.
Although this is not the first time when celebrities have commented and talked upon social and political issues. Same applies for the Gunjan Saxena movie actor Angad Bedi, he has been an opinionated and responding person. Being a son of a legendary cricket Mr Bishan Singh Bedi, he has been spotted at various cricket events and talking about the same. The Zoya Factor star has been very liberal about some of the personal issues and has been seen supporting his wife at various events.
The laws will fluctuate as per the democratic government in our country, hence the connection between these entertainments, cricket industries and social discrepancies happening around will continue thereafter.
For sharing this post Angad Bedi got mixed comments from the audience, as some said ‘why don’t you help the Kisan as you are earning in millions’, while some accused him of not talking about late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s case. Whereas some people applauded the young actor for being helpful and raising voice for Punjabis and creating awareness.
Angad Bedi was last seen in Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl and got mixed reviews for his performance. Currently, he has worked on his latest project Mum Bhai. He was seen working with Sikander Kher and his journey in the industry. The web series was streamed from 12th November 2020 on digital platforms; ZEE5 and ALTBalaji.
