As says the nation, there still are many Indians stranded abroad and who couldn’t come back to their homes in India. For this, the Indian government gave a verdict that the flights would bring the stranded Indians back but those people have to bear the cost of flights and follow the 14-day quarantine as soon as they land. They should be corona negative too.

Priority will be given to compelling Indians such as migrant workers, labourers, short-term visa holders faced with the expiry of visas, persons with medical emergencies, pregnant women, elderly, students, those who need to mourn for a family member in India.

The Standard Operating Protocol (SOP), issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs stated that these people should register themselves with the Indian mission of the country where they are staying. This return would be initiated from 7th May.

“Such Indians will have to provide all necessary details as prescribed by the Ministry of Home Affairs”, it said. This will be arranged by the Ministry of Civil Aviation and naval ships by the Department of Military Affairs. 64 flights would be initiated for this procedure.
