CBSE announces new dates for Class 10 and 12 board exams, July 1 to July 15. Check the details here

The HRD Ministry has declared on Friday that the pending class X and XII board exams of CBSE will be conducted between July 1 to 15 to bring an end to the tremendous nervousness among the students and begin the next academic session as soon as possible.

“The students have been impatiently waiting for the schedule for pending exams. It has been decided today that the exams will be conducted from July 1 to 15,” HRD minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said.

Twelve exams of class XII are to be held all over India while the class X exams will only be organised only in parts of North East Delhi since some exams had been deferred of the communal riots in the area. CBSE will be arranging for 27 exams in total.

A senior authority of CBSE confirmed that they will come up with the date sheet soon. Further, he added that CBSE needs to set up a guideline regarding how the students are to reach their respective exam centre, the seating arrangement etc. He has also asserted the fact that schools need to take care of the social distancing norms during this time.
Though Randeep Guleria, Director, All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) has stated that there might be a peak in the number of cases in the month of June- July, the HRD Ministry has opined that if the same situation prevails or deteriorate further, necessary steps will be taken.

The Ministry has recently announced that the JEE- Mains will be held between July 18- 23 and NEET will begin from July 26.
“We want to give students a ten-day window before we commence the exams. It is unlikely that exams will happen in May. So, the plan is to complete the process in the first half of July,” he said.
