It was last week when 5 pilots of Air India along with a technician and a driver of airline
engineering wing were tested positive for COVID 19. The centaur hotel near the airport has
been sealed temporarily for the purpose of sanitization and after a crew member tested
positive for the virus at the temporary facility there said the officials according to PTI. the
pilots that were tested positively operated Boeing 787 fleet and had flown to china before the
20th of April.
The centaur hotel has opened up in Srinagar as well. The technician and the driver in Air
India engineering ltd that were working for reliance hangar at Mumbai airport was found to
be positive after they took the swab test on May 7.

In one of the evacuation flights between Mumbai and the united states earlier in April, one of
the crew members tested positive of the virus as well.to bring back stranded Indians from
Maldives and Bangladesh and West Asian states like the United Arab Emirates and Saudi
Arabia, Air India started an evacuation program called Vande Bharat to help the purpose.
It has been said that the government will be operating 147 flights form 31 countries including
France, Australia, and the united states during the second phase of evacuations from May
16.
