It was announced by the Haryana government that there is no need to have a travel pass from Monday onwards. It was stated by a police officer that the traffic between Gurugram and Delhi and Faridabad and Delhi have been smooth now and other places.
He further made the statement that as per the guidelines of the central government, the Delhi Haryana border was opened and now there will be no need to have a pass.
“The traffic movement is completely smooth between Gurugram and Delhi and Faridabad and Delhi and so are elsewhere,” said the senior police official.
On Friday, huge amounts of traffics were seen at the borders of Haryana. The former restricted the movement of motorists this is they were not allowed to enter. It was the essentials service providers and e pass holders that could enter the borders thus owing to the spike in the number of coronavirus cases.
Anil Vij, the health minister of Haryana, blamed the people of Delhi and their free movement from place to place for the rise of cases of coronavirus. He mentions in his words that despite the restrictions laid to prevent the spread of cases, there has been a spike for COVID 19 in Jhajjar, Gurugram, Faridabad, Sonepat and that these areas are near the national capital.
A meeting between chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar, deputy chief minister Dushyant Chautala and Health minister Anil Vij, and officials had taken some decisions to make sure the protocols are followed even after resumption of the economy and services.
The meeting laid emphasis on the orders of district magistrate under section 144 of CrPC which allows him/her to impose restriction in restricted areas, from 9 pm to 5 am of any individual only allowing the free movement of essential services.
It has been the decision of the Haryana government to further extend the lockdown till June 30 and to open up the restricted areas by keeping in check the guidelines issued by the district magistrate and the departments in charge along with the NDMA guidelines.
There will not be any restrictions on the interdistrict and interstate movement of any person or goods, shops will be opening from 9 am to 7 pm. Sports can begin from 5 am instead of 7 am from now onwards. Wearing masks has been made compulsory in all public places. the shopkeeper needs to pay attention to the individuals and ask to keep a minimum of 6 feet of distance and not allow more than 5 people at one time.
The large gatherings and functions will continue to remain prohibited and according to previous guidelines, only 50 people are allowed in a marriage, and for the last rites, 20. The functioning of offices is allowed with the 100 per cent workforce of group A and B officers while 75% for C and D group officers. Transportations like interstate and intrastate buses, cabs and taxis will be allowed to operate with certain
procedures and rules.
