Barack Obama, the former president of the United States has criticized the administration of the current president for its response to the global pandemic which has claimed the lives of so many Americans already.
In a hit back from president Trump to Mr Obama, the current president accused the former US president of being “grossly incompetent” during his stay in office.
Mr Obama criticized the administration during a speech which was given online to high school graduating students although he didn’t mention Trump’s name directly. Mr Obama said “more than anything, this pandemic has fully, finally torn back the curtain that so many of the folks in charge know what they’re doing.

In response to the online commencement speeches made on Saturday by former president Obama, Mr Trump said “look, he was an incompetent president, that’s all I can say. Grossly incompetent”, while also adding that he didn’t hear the comments. President Trump made this known after returning from spending the weekend at Camp David.
The coronavirus pandemic has claimed almost 90,000 lives in the US, which is the worst-hit country in the world. Last week the former president had described President Trump’s handling of the virus as “an absolute chaotic disaster”.
The United States currently has about 1.4 million covid-19 cases and Mr. Trump has been criticized for encouraging states to reopen their economies despite all warnings from public health experts.
The president was accompanied by the White House chief of staff, Mark Meadows to Camp David and when asked what was discussed he said “so I think we had a great weekend. We did a lot of terrific meetings…, a lot of good things have happened.
