The planned American supernatural thriller movie A Haunting in Venice, which Kenneth Branagh is directing, is inspired by Agatha Christie’s Hallowe’en Party. The movie is a follow-up to the films Death on the Nile (2022) and Murder on the Orient Express (2017). Along with Kyle Allen, Camille Cottin, Jamie Dornan, Tina Fey, Jude Hill, Ali Khan, Emma Laird, Kelly Reilly, Riccardo Scamarcio, and Michelle Yeoh, Branagh reprises his role as Hercule Poirot.
The US release date of A Haunting in Venice is set for September 15, 2023.
The first trailer for the movie, along with the cast members that will play the different roles, was published in April 2023. The movie, according to Branagh, is more of a “supernatural thriller” than a traditional horror movie. In April 2023, it was confirmed that Hildur Gunadóttir would take Patrick Doyle’s place as the film’s composer.
Plot- Poirot, who is now retired and in his own exile in post-World War II Venice, unwillingly attends a seance. But the former detective must once more find the murderer when one of the visitors is slain.
