Champions is an American sports comedy film directed by Bobby Farrelly and produced by Paul Brooks, Scott Niemeyer and Jeremy Plager.
The movie is based on the Spanish film Champions. However, the new version is much better. The film has some original content but there is revising of the subplot. A former minor-league basketball coach receives a court order to manage a team of players with intellectual disabilities. However, his initial doubts were soon cleared when he realized that tighter they can go further than they ever imagined.
The movie stars Woody Harrelson, Kaitlin Olson, Ernie Hudson, Cheech Marin, Mike Smith, Scott Van Pelt and Jalen Rose.
The film was originally scheduled to be released on 24th March but the release date was shifted to 10th March 2023.
The actors have done a wonderful job and totally justified their characters.
