Christy is the latest Malayalam drama based on a true story. It is written and directed by debutant Albin Henry. This light-hearted flick features Malavika Mohanan and Mathew Thomas in the lead roles.
Roy, a village boy who fails at his studies, joins Christy’s tuition. They become good friends, but later when Christy gets a job abroad, Roy’s life changes.
Christy has its story by director Alvin, while its screenplay is penned by acclaimed Malayalam authors Benyamin and G Indugopan. The film is set against the scenic backdrop of Poovar, a coastal village in Thiruvananthapuram.
Sajai Sebastian and Kannan Satheesan under the banner of Rocky Mountain Cinemas produce Christy. Govind Vasantha of 96 fame composed the music and songs for the film. Anend C Chandran cranks the camera and Manu Antony edits it. The first look and title of the film are announced on December 14.
Christy will hit theatrically on 17th February 2023.
