‘Cirkus’ is an upcoming Indian Hindi language comedy film. It is directed by Rohit Shetty and produced by Rohit Shetty’s pictures, T- Series, and Reliance Entertainment. This is a Hindi language comedy film. The film stars Ranveer Singh, Pooja Hegde, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Varun Sharma are in the lead roles. Ranveer Singh is playing a double role in this film. This film has been officially adapted from (Angoor) 1982, which is based on Shakespeare’s play ‘The Comedy of Errors’.

It also features Deepika Padukone and Ajay Devgan in a Special Appearance. This film has been edited by Bunty Nagi. And the music in this is by Devi Sri Prasad. Principal photography of this film commenced on 17 November 2020 in Mumbai. It has been described as a period comedy set in the 1960s. The film was initially scheduled to release theatrically on 31, December 2021. But due to the delay in shooting it was postponed to release theatrically on 23, December 2022.

Cirkus marks the reunion of Rohit Shetty and Ranveer Singh after Simmba since the film is a comedy of error. This results in a mistaken identity due to the dual roles of the two characters in the film. Rohit and his team decided to set the film in an era, which was devoid of mobile phones and all other modern gadgets. After considering the time frame they were finally reduced to zero as the era to be recreated in the Cirkus in 1967.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, that not only because the team has been working day and night for the last few months, and now this film is ready to be made and is going to release on 15th July 2022.
