The drama film” Goldfish”, starring actors Deepti Naval and Kalki Koechlin, will debut in theatres nationwide on August 25, according to a statement released on Wednesday by the producers. The movie, which is set in London and stars Naval and Koechlin as a mother and daughter team, explores issues of identity and memory. It is presented by director Anurag Kashyap and directed by Pushan Kripalani.
“Due to the onset of dementia in her estranged mother Sadhana (Naval), an adult child of a mixed marriage, Nammika (Koechlin) returns home. The official storyline states,” Ana returns to a neighbourhood she hardly remembers, to a woman who occasionally doesn’t remember her. Rajit Kapur, Bharti Patel, Gordon Warnecke, Ravin Ganatra, and Shanaya Rafaat are also present in “Goldfish.”
On August 25, the movie will also be released in the US.
When Kashyap saw the movie at the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) in October 2022, he declared that he loved it.
The connection between Kalki and Deepti Naval, with some excellent writing and performances, directed with such nuance, and all the outstanding supporting performances.
