A narrative of grief, mystery, love and revenge, Hit and Run, is an Israel-based show which will premiere on 6th August 2021 on Netflix. Created by the creators of Fauda, Raz and Avi Issacharoff, along with Dawn Prestwich and Nicole Yorbin, the thriller disseminates the story of a family man and tour guide, Segev Azulai, who sets himself to seek revenge when he suspects the mysterious death of his wife in a hit and runs accident to be more than just an accident. In the process of revenge, he partners alongside an Israeli Police detective and his ex-lover only to eventually unveil the secrets that his beloved wife hid from him.
The nine-episode series was set in Tel Aviv and New York with much of its dialogue in Hebrew accented English. The cast of Hit and Run includes Lior Raz as Segev, Kaelen Ohm as Segev’s wife Danielle Wexler, Moran Rosenblatt as Tali Shapira the detective who will help solve the mystery, Danielle’s father, Martin Wexler, will be played by Gregg Henry. Gal Toren will feature as Ron Harel, Lior Ashkenazi plays Assaf Talmor.
According to The Times of Israel, Issacharoff stated that ” It’s a unique kind of story, it’s about the relationship between a man and a woman and two countries. It tells a bigger story but it’s very personal, too.”The appreciation of the other opuses of the Fraud creators is waiting in the wings with eyes brimming with expectations for Hit and Run to give them the same experience as the other thrillers.
