Lightyear is an upcoming American Computer animated science fiction action-adventure film. It is produced by Pixar animation studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios pictures. This is a spin-off of the movie Toy Story which is serving as an original story for the fictional test pilot/astronaut character. The movie was inspired by the ringing lightyear toy/action figure featured in the main films. And it has been presented as a blockbuster film.
In this movie, the story Character/Lightyear tells the story of Buzz Lightyear a young astronaut. He along with his commander and crew tries to find a way back home through space and time after being trapped on a hostile planet. While also poses a threat to the security of the universe. Finding Dory(2016) after finishing work on Maclane a science fiction administrator pitched the idea to make a film about the buzzing Lightyear at Pixer. This film is scheduled for theatrical release in the United States on 17th June 2022 in Real D 3D Dolby Cinema and IMAX formats.
