‘Loop Lapeta’ starring Taapsee Pannu and Tahir Raj Bhasin will release on OTT on February 4. The comedy-thriller is Akash Bhatia’s directorial debut and is a remake of Tom Tyquar’s hugely popular film ‘Run Lola Run’.
Releasing on Netflix, the film tells the story of a girl who is on a mission to save her lover, amid a series of successive events that prompt lovers to make choices that define their future.
Talking about the film, Taapsee Pannu, (who plays the role of Savi to save her boyfriend) said, “I am excited to be a part of this next project with Netflix, especially like this one. It’s a compelling storyline. It was a pleasure working with my director Akash and my co-star Tahir.”
“I can’t wait for fans and audiences to see this wonderful film and enjoy it as much as we loved making it,” she added.
Tahir Raj Bhasin, essaying the role of Satya said, “I am very excited about the release of ‘Loop Lapeta’. The film is based on new age romance and is a genre that I am doing for the first time. I am doing Satya and The world can’t wait to meet Savi’s characters.”
Praising his director, Tahir said, “Our director Akash Bhatia has a unique style stamp, who has created a wonderfully astonishing world.”
Director Akash Bhatia said, “There is no way to reduce the excitement of making the first film and ‘Loop Lapeta’ has transcended every part of it. I am extremely excited with the shape we have given it.”
Produced by Sony Pictures Films India, Ellipsis Entertainment with Aayush Maheshwari and written by Vinay Chhawal, Ketan Pedgaonkar, Akash Bhatia, Arnav Vepa Nanduri, the film will stream on Netflix from February 4.
