Ninnila Ninnila is an upcoming Indian Telugu-language romantic comedy film written and directed by Ani Sasi and produced by B. V. S. N. Prasad under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra. The film features Ashok Selvan, Nithya Menen and Ritu Varma in
the lead roles. The film is titled Theeni in the Tamil-language version.
Popular Tamil actor Ashok Selvan who roused to fame with films like ‘Soodhu Kavvum’ and ‘Oh My Kadavule’ is making his Telugu debut with the upcoming film ‘Ninnila Ninnila.’ Written and directed by Ani I V Sasi, the trailer of the romantic-comedy has hit the internet on Friday and it promises to be a roller-coaster ride of fun, love, romance and drama. Starring Ritu Varma and Nithya Menen as the leading ladies, the film is scheduled for a release on February 26th. Set against the backdrop of London, the close to 3-minute promo introduces Ashok Selvan (Dev) as an overweight, genius chef who suffers from muscle spasms. While Nasser is seen as the head chef of the restaurant, Ritu Varma is playing the co-chef Taramwho has OCD. Nithya Menen steps into the shoes of Maya, a happy-go-lucky girl with the mind of a child. Love starts to blossom between Dev and Tara but it turns more interesting when it crosses paths with Maya. There is also a flashback portion in the trailer where a slim Dev and Maya can be seen sharing a romantic moment. Overall, Ninnila Ninnila promises to be a light-hearted entertainer with good doses of comedy, romance and love. Ashok Selvan underwent a dramatic physical transformation for the role. Bankrolled by BVSN Prasad, the music of Ninnila Ninnila is composed by Rajesh Murugesan and the cinematography is handled by Divakar Mani. The dialogues have been written by Naga Chandu, Anusha and Jayanth Panuganti. The film has been wrapped up in October itself and the makers have sold the rights to Zee Studios.
