Mehmet, a man who operates a solid waste warehouse in a deprived neighbourhood of Istanbul, is played by Agatay Ulusoy (The Guardian, Insider). Because of his work helping homeless youth and youth, he is well-liked in the neighbourhood.
When he encounters an 8-year-old boy who was hidden in a waste sack, everything changes. His initial desire to return the boy to his parents is easily thwarted when he becomes addicted to him.
Can Ulkay, whose credits include the critically acclaimed films Ayla (2017) and Muslum (2017), directs the potentially influential film (2018). Ercan Mehmet Erdem, the creator of the hit Turkish series Behzat.: Bir Ankara Polisiyesi, wrote the screenplay.
