‘Pathu Thala’ is an upcoming Tamil-language neo-noir gangster film directed by Obeli N. Krishna. It is produced by Jayantilal Gada and K. E. Gnanavel Raja. It stars Silambarasan, Gautham Karthik, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Anu Sithara, Teejay Arunasalam, Kalaiyarasan and Redin Kingsley.
An undercover cop must infiltrate the operations of don A.G.R., where his safety may be compromised. The film would be power-packed with action sequences and mysteries. The movie is an adaption of the 2017 Kannada film, ‘Mufti’.
The music is given by no other than A.R. Rahman himself. This marks his second collaboration with the director. The film is later also going to be released on Amazon Prime Video and the streaming rights of the same have been sold to it. Initially, the film was supposed to be released on 14th December 2022, however, it got postponed to 30th March 2023.
