Netflix presents “Red Rose”, a series, which originally aired on BBC last year, was produced by Eleven (the production team behind Sex Education) and created by the Clarkson Twins, who co-produced Mike Flanagan’s horror series The Haunting of Bly Manor. Stars Amelia Clarkson (The Last Kingdom) as Wren, Isis Hainsworth (Metal Lords) as Roch, up-and-coming actor Natalie Blair as Ashley, Ali Khan (The School for Good and Evil) as Taz, Ellis Howard (Help) as Antony and newcomer Harry Redding as Noah. The series also features Adam Nagaitis (Chernobyl), Ashna Rabheru (Indian Summers), Natalie Gavin (Gentleman Jack) and Samuel Anderson (Doctor Who).
The series follows a group of teens in England who fall prey to a dangerous app called Red Rose. Once downloaded, the app exacts deadly consequences on anyone who uses it, unless a few best friends can band together in time to stop it, and uncover the chilling truth behind a fatal phone app plaguing their town. The creepy software lures in users by promising to fulfil their deepest desires, but it ultimately isolates them from those they hold close to and sparks seemingly supernatural destruction.
The eight-episode series is going to be released on Netflix on 15 February this year.
