Bollywood is lately trying its hands in making some super powerful biopics made on some famous personalities of India, whether it be in the sports arena, Bollywood, politics, or any Business tycoon.
Bollywood is coming with another such film named Saina, starring model and actress Parineeti Chopra made on the life of ace badminton player Saina Nehwal is scheduled for worldwide theatrical release on 26 March 2021.
The film titled on the name of the player ‘SAINA’ is directed by the famous director Amol Gupte, who has previously made some well-acclaimed movies such as Hawa Hawaai and Stanley Ka Dabba.
This film is produced under the banner of T-Series, led by Bhushan Kumar. T-Series’ official Twitter page tweeted: “Presenting the inspiring story of one of India’s greatest athletes, #Saina. In cinemas on 26th March”.
Shraddha Kapoor was earlier approached for the lead role in this film, but she quit the film due to a scheduling problem. This film was originally shot in 2019 and was scheduled to be released in the summer of last year but got delayed due to Coronavirus breakdown in 2020.
