Spenser Confidential is an American movie directed by Peter Berg. It’s an adaptation of the novel Robert B. Parker’s Wonderland by Ace Atkins. The genre lies in criminal action and adventure with a pinch of comedy embedded.
The cast predominantly includes Mark Wahlberg, Winston Duke, Alan Arkin, Big Shug, Michael Gaston, Iliza Shlesinger, Austin Post and Marc Maron. It’s the story of an old detective Spenser who teams up with a hanker fighter Hawk to unwrap an ominous conspiracy related to two Boston police officials.
The crime saga didn’t get positive feedback by the viewers and got a rating ⅖.
While few call it a complete blunder and others blame the narrative and the direction as being clumsily made. The director ensured the sequel, which he said is definitely happening. Spenser Confidential was shot in Jones Hill, Boston, USA.
