The Green Knight is an epic fantasy adventure based on the evergreen 14th-century poem, ‘Sir Gawain and the Green Knight’. It has been directed and penned by David Lowery. Produced by Tim Headington, Toby Halbrooks, James M. Johnston and Theresa Steele Page under Wild Atlantic Pictures, Sailor Bear, A24, BRON Creative, Ley Line Entertainment, and Creative Wealth Media Finance, it will hit the Indian screens on August 27.
The Green Witch will stream one night on a four-hour window on August 18th starting at 9 PM ET. The audience will have to buy a $20 ticket to stream the film through A24’s Screening Room platform. It stars Dev Patel as Gawain, a nephew of King Arthur, who sets out on a daring journey to prove himself to his family and court and also to test his own worth by defeating the mighty Green Knight.
The cast is also filled by Ralph Ineson as the Green Witch, Alicia Vikander as Essel Joel Edgerton as the Lord, Sarita Choudhury as Gawain’s mother, Sean Harris as King Arthur, Katie Dickie as Queen Guinevere, Barry Keoghan as the Scavenger, Erin Kellyman as Saint Winifred and Megan Tiernan as Gawain’s Queen.
