Hulu continues to be the best place for U.S. audiences to see hit content from the United Kingdom with the addition of The Sister on January 22nd. It is a four-part series which is a mix of crime drama and psychological thriller, one that keeps you on your toes all the way through the ending. Written by “Luther” creator Neil Cross (and adapted from his novel “Buried”).
The series revolves around a married man who was involved in the gruesome death of a young woman, Elise. To make matters worse, that woman was the sister of his now-wife.
Also, she’s now haunting him. But the Bigger question for the audience it how it ends and Who killed Elise? The Sister reveals information to the audience in small bursts of time from three years, 2009, 2013 and 2020. There are twists and red-herrings aplenty, some that you will see coming and others that will come as a surprise.
It stars Bertie Carvel (Doctor Foster), Amrita Acharia (Game of Thrones), Nina Toussaint-White (Bodyguard), Amanda Root (Unforgotten), Paul Bazely (Quiz), and Simone Ashley (Sex Education).
