Rajiv Kapoor last has finally got a digital release. Toolsidas Junior is going to release on the OTT platform Netflix on May 23.
It is directed by debutant Mridul Mahendra. And It is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishna Kumar, Ashutosh Gowariker, and Sunita Gowariker.
The story is about a young boy, Toolsidas Junior. He wants to become the best snooker player to uphold his father’s legacy. The special screening was done as a tribute to Rajiv Kapoor. The Screening was organized in Mumbai in February 2022, especially for the Kapoor Clan. Rajiv completed shooting for the film shortly before his demise.
Earlier The film was set to release on Netflix on April 19. The release was halted due to some unexplained reasons.
The movie consists of popular child actor Varun Buddhadev as Toolsidas Junior. Along with Sanjay Dutt, Dalip Tahil are also in the movie. The movie is said to be inspired by true events in Calcutta in 1994.
