Tom Cruise will be back again in theatres with his next movie Top Gun: Maverick. The movie is the sequel to the 1986 hit Top Gun. In this movie, Tom Cruise is playing one of his most iconic roles, Captain Pete ‘Maverick’ Mitchell.
The then, fighter pilot and now a high flying test pilot and the instructor will be back again as the protagonist. The film is the sequel to the 1986 hit and hence, will contain the same elements of thrill, action, and drama. The viewers will be glued to screens as expected.
Fans of Tom Cruise are excited about the film. They are expecting it to be a hit comeback of the franchise after a delay of three decades. Paramount Pictures is producing the film. The story will revolve around Tom Cruise Character Pete ‘Maverick’ Mitchell who after more than 30 years of service is now a test pilot. He is going to train a detachment of Top Gun graduates for a specialized mission. The specialized mission, the likes of which no living pilot has ever seen.
The trailer of the new film has amassed over 24 million views on youtube. The film is going to release in theatres on May 27, 2022.
