Ajith’s ‘Valimai’ is announced to release on January 13 in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi, and it’s going to be the only big release for this Pongal from the South.
However question that remains unanswered is whether ‘Valimai’ will be postponed or not as the Tamil Nadu government has announced night curfew and Sunday lockdown in the state as new covid restrictions, so it might affect the film’s box office.
The makers have reportedly stuck to their decision of releasing the film so far, and they have moved to the next step of release as they have distributed standees and content to various areas. The delay in the ‘Valimai’ release will lower the expectation for the film, and the hard work behind the promotional work will get spoiled.
So, the makers have decided to go with the release, and they hope that the film’s extended theatrical run will transform it into a box office blockbuster. Ajith will be seen as a cop in ‘Valimai’, which is directed by H Vinoth, and the film also has several key stars in important roles.
