FICCI seeks for lifting restrictions on prohibited activities in Unlock 3.0.

Amidst the Coronavirus pandemic, India was under complete lockdown for two months and by the month of June, it started its unlock procedure and many commercial activities were re-opened but there were certain prohibitions in some activities.
In the upcoming Unlock 3.0, Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) seeks for lifting restrictions on prohibited activities. It is an association of business organisations in India. It was establishes in 1927 by G.D. Birla and Purshottamdas Thakurdas and is the largest, oldest and apex business organisation in India which is a non-government, not-for-profit organisation. It has many allied organisations into it. On Monday, July 27, 2020 this body decided to uplift certain prohibitions which included opening of assembly halls, cinema halls, gardens and parks, gyms, swimming pools, bars, theatre and auditoriums, and also educational institution with the guidance of government and keeping in mind the local scenario of the Covid-19 cases. FICCI said that certain steps should be followed strictly which includes checking body temperatures, wearing of masks, maintaining proper social distancing, and sanitizing.

FICCI says, “Indian and foreign carriers should be now allowed to operate and the country should allow foreigners to travel India on a reciprocal basis. All restaurants and eateries in a hotel should be allowed to serve the resident as well as non-resident guests at 50 per cent seating capacity. Permission should be granted for hosting all kinds of banquet and conference in the hotel. Metro rail services may be opened and initially with less than 50 per cent of the capacity, it could be started as for containment zones trains will not stop to its stations.”

FICCI also said that confirm dates and procedure to start Unlock 3.0 shall be decide by the states government in their particular regions keeping in mind the increasing number of Covid-19 cases.
