Goa Government to impose strict lockdown for 3 days and will observe 10-hour Janta Curfew till August 10.

The current Goa’s active cases have now reach to the mark of 1,000 following Covid-19 deaths at 18 in the past month. Due to this behaviour Goa Chief Minister, Pramod Sawant has now announced to initiate a complete lockdown and the state will be observing ‘Janata Curfew’ from immediate effect till August 10, has imposed Section 144 of the CrPC, restricting the movement of people for all non-essential activities between 8 pm to 6 am. 
With COVID-19 cases rising in the state, the official observed that people are not wearing masks and not following the social distancing guidelines effectively as before. The chief minister also said that the COVID-19 cases in the state are more likely to reach its peak in next few days due to continuing social behaviours.
Sawant press statement is as, “People should have been more careful. The government has realised that people have not followed the norms. As many as 40,000 persons have been fined for not wearing masks. Looks like people only understand the language of the law”. “Only those associated with essential services and those having medical emergencies will be permitted to move out during the curfew and lockdown”, he added.
