GCPL’s home delivery initiative will be listed under Zomato’s new app feature ‘Zomato Market’. FMCGFMCG major Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL) on Thursday announced partnership with food delivery app Zomato, This will help Godrej consumer products limited to increase their market during lockdown and to provide the support to the individual during lockdown.
“Timing delivery”
Zomato will deliver GCPL products directly to consumers at their doorsteps while ShopKirana will deliver them to individual retailers by connecting with GCPL directly.
Zoomcar will deliver various essential products under home care, hair care, personal care. It was the greatest advantage during lockdown.

FMCG major Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL) on Thursday announced partnership with food delivery app Zomato, B2B supply chain start up ShopKirana and car rental company Zoomcar for delivery of essential goods during lockdown.
“FMCG makers”
Earlier three FMCG makers — ITC Foods, Marico and Britannia – had announced partnerships with several firms to get their products delivered at consumer’s doorsteps by using the service of app-based aggregators. We have embarked on three unique collaborations to empower community. Through its collaboration with Zoomcar, GCPL aims to empower its distributors and wholesale network through prompt delivery of products in cars provided by the self-drive mobility platform.
Indore-based B2B supply chain start up ShopKirana has received the license from the Madhya Pradesh government for online orders and delivery of other essential goods. Now, the government had provided the licence to the delivery company to deliver the essentials product during lockdown. And government also made them to provide the medical products untill the lockdown. They are some products which should not be sold by zoomcar, Zomato and other companies.
This service is active in Indore and will soon be extended to Bhopal and Jabalpur. Through its collaboration with Zoomcar, GCPL aims to empower its distributors and wholesale network through prompt delivery of products in cars provided by the self-drive mobility platform.
“Avoid unnecessary crowd”
The only aim is to control the crowd in market and in shop to buy the goods. This leads to spread of Covid-19 and it’s population increases. only one motive to prevent crowd and protect the individual from the pandemic diseases. The goal is to reduce reliance on traditional transportation network and use Zoomcar’s car fleet to keep the supply chain running. Currently, this initiative is active in Mumbai and Nagpur. This partnership is running successfully in many cities such as Mumbai, Pune, Madhya Pradesh and in many states.
It will be replicated in cities like Pune and extended to states like Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat.
“Expansion of lockdown”
India is presently going through an unprecedented complete lockdown of three weeks, ending on April 14, to prevent the spread of the virus. Due to Covid-19 India is facing financial crises which refers as the refers as each citizen in India is facing the financial crises. Many schools and colleges had been converted as medical care centres to treat Covid-19 patients and as research centre. Their is no medicine for thi pandemic disease, many doctors had undergone the research to fight against the bio war. Because of this many schools and colleges are converted into medical centres, research areas and shelter for migrant workers. when the school are converted into care centres it will entire affects the Indi who are living there. This makes the native people to move to other places and that becomes another crisis. so, Government made entirely lockdown to cities and towns.
