As the lockdown extended till May 3, it’s coming near. Health ministry finalizes the list of different zones. States and Districts are categorized in different zones according to the situation of coronavirus spread.
Metro cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata are in red zones. This zone also includes Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad. After 3rd May it will be decided whether this lockdown will be extended or not.
The zones are divided into different categories: Red zone, Orange zone and Green zone.
How the Health Ministry divided states and districts into different categorized.
Delhi is categorized under Red zone. With that Maharashtra has a maximum number of Red zone.
Based on multi-function information, the incident of cases, doubling rate, double of rate, an extension of testing and surveillance feedback, the ministry made this list of categorized zones. A district will be under Green zone only if there is no new case of coronavirus confirmed in that particular area. After 3rd May, 130 districts have been categorized under the red zone, 284 under the orange zone and 319 under the green zone.

All the metro cities will be under red zone including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru. The highest number of coronavirus confirmed cases are in Maharashtra. There 14 districts which are red zone in Maharashtra.
In Delhi, there are 11 districts, 12 districts in Tamil Nadu, 9 each in Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. 20 district in Bihar, 36 in UP, 24 in Tamil Nadu, 19 in Rajasthan, 15 in Punjab, 19 in MP and 16 in Maharashtra are under the orange zone. Assam has the number of Green zone with 30 districts. 25 district in Chhattisgarh, 25 in Arunachal Pradesh, 24 in MP are in Green zone.
