The human resource development minister Ramesh Pokhriyal on Tuesday, after a discussion with the health ministry, said that the JEE (Mains), the first stage of the two-tier joint entrance exam (JEE) entrance for admission into top engineering colleges, will take place on 18 July, 20 July, 21 July, 22 July and 23 July and JEE Advanced will take place in August. National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for admission into medical colleges will be conducted on 26 July. Nearly 3 million students have to appear in these exams-1.6 million for NEET and 1.3 million for JEE mains. Both the exams are to be conducted by the National Testing Agency.
The dates for CBSE 12th Board examination will be announced in the next two days. It was planned that exams for 29 core papers will be conducted once the situation improves and lockdown is lifted.
