A 40yrs old man rapes his own 19yrs old daughter after getting her drugged with sleeping pills in the name of cold medicines at their Haralur home, in Bengaluru on the night of 23th of June. After her stepmother didn’t help her register a complaint, the girl tried attempting suicide.
The 19-year-old after ingesting a toilet-cleaning chemical went to a police station by herself and she informed the police about her father.
The girl in her police statement said that “her father gave her medicine after she told him that she had been suffering from cough and cold.
But when she woke up the next morning, she found her father sleeping next to her. And she realised that she had been sexually assaulted.”
She also added in her statement that, “She told her stepmother about what her father had done. However her stepmother instead of helping her try to conceal the fact and make her helpless”.
The police then immediately arrested the father as well as the stepmother for the crime committed as well as concealing the crime.
