In Odisha Bank and Postal staff would deliver cash for elderly and differently abled.

The Covid-19 pandemic period has made people’s life difficult from the past 5 months, especially for old and differently abled persons. So to make the life easier for such kinds of people and in view of this condition, the Odisha Bank in Orissa has decided to give some facilities to old and differently abled persons.

The state government has decided to allow banking and postal employees to deliver the cash to such categories people on their doorstep. So it will be easy for them to get cash at home, instead of visiting the bank.

“Postal and bank employees are allowed to move to the premises of senior citizens and differently-abled persons to deliver cash, on phone calls during working hours, with strict adherence to safety measures,” the state finance department said in an order.
Public and private sector banks and insurance firms can operate with 50 per cent staff at bigger branches.

As it is found that the old people and young children gets affected easily by Coronavirus, so in this view, the government has confirmed to give this facility to the people.

Till now, Orissa is also been badly hit by Coronavirus. The state has confirmed 36,297 active cases in which 23,074 people have recovered with 207 deaths.
