India post office resumes booking for International speed post to 15 countries

India is currently under the fourth phase of lockdown due to COVID-19 virus,which will continue till may 31.

While this Indian post office has resumed booking for International speed post to 15 countries, said union communication minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Friday.

Ravi Shankar Prasad tweeted,”India post office resumes booking for International speed post to 15 countries and International Tracked packet services to already available destinations.

Delivery timelines will depend on aviation services. Booking for other International parcel and letter remain suspended”.

The fourth phase of lockdown in India commenced from May 18 and will continue till May 31.

Meanwhile, India post has been delivering mails,medicines,financial assistance at doorstep and even distributing food and ration to needy during this lockdown.

Not only this, but it had also entered into a tie-up with IMCR for delivery of its covid-19 testing kits and now, it had resumed booking for International speed post also.
