Royal Challengers Bangalore held a practice match between themselves before the 13th edition of the IPL in which AB de Villiers shone with the bat. RCB players were divided into two teams for this match. One team captain Virat Kohli, while the captain of the other team was made spinner Yuzvendra Chahal. AB de Villiers performed brilliantly with the bat in this thrilling match.
RCB Director of Cricket Mike Hewson said that he divided the players into two teams based on left-right batting combination and spinners with different variations. Chahal’s captaincy team consisted of players like De Villiers, Devdutt, Umesh Yadav and Navdeep Saini while Kohli’s team included key players like Isuru Udana, Chris Morris, Parthiv Patel and Mohammad Siraj.
Opening for Team Chahal, AB de Villiers scored 43 runs off 33 balls and put a good score on the board. The young Devdutt looked in good rhythm, starting the innings with ABD. Washington Sundar, who was part of Team Kohli, took two wickets for just 11 runs.
Chasing the target, Virat Kohli started the innings with Parthiv Patel and both the batsmen were looking in a great rhythm. Shahbaz Ahmed took 3 wickets for 13 runs from Team Chahal. After this match, Hessen said that it was a difficult wicket to bat and Team Chahal defeated Team Kohli in this competitive competition.
RCB’s training camp still missing foreign players like Aaron Finch, Moin Ali, Adam Zampa and Josh Phillip. However, these players are expected to join the team soon.
