Bengaluru is home to the highest number of IT companies in India and most of them have started work from home due to the nationwide lockdown. The city has 61 out of the total of 295 active cases in the state and has been categorised as a red zone.

The economy in the country has slowed down and small businesses are facing trouble so the Karnataka government is trying to reopen businesses, including the sale of liquor, which is one of its biggest sources of tax revenue.
