In the sixth match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020, Kings XI Punjab defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by 97 runs. This is Punjab’s first win this season and RCB’s first defeat. Kings XI Punjab, batting first, scored 206 runs for 3 wickets in 20 overs. RCB’s team chased down the target for 109 runs in 17 overs.

Captain KL Rahul scored an explosive century for Punjab. Rahul scored 132 off 69 balls. He hit 14 fours and 7 sixes in his innings. Shivam Dubey of RCB took 2 and Yuzvendra Chahal took 1 wicket.

Washington Sundar scored the highest 30 runs for Bangalore. Apart from him, AB de Villiers scored 28 runs off 18 balls. Apart from them, Aaron Finch 20 and Shivam Dubey were out for 12 runs. Rahul left Rishabh Pant behind after playing 132 runs. He became the highest scoring Indian in the history of this tournament. Pant had unbeaten innings of 128 runs in 2018. Not only this, but Rahul also became the highest scorer as a captain. In this case, the Punjab captain broke the record of Sunrisers Hyderabad captain David Warner. Warner had scored 126 runs in 2017.
