Maharashtra Textile minister Aslam Sheikh tests positive for Covid-19

Aslam Shaikh, Maharashtra’s Cabinet Minister of Textiles, Port, Fisheries, and Guardian informed that he has been tested positive for the Nobel Coronavirus on Monday. He is asymptomatic and for safety purpose, he is now under self-isolation. He will also continue his work from his quarantine home.

Shaikh informed about his news as he recently twitted, ”This is to inform that I’ve tested positive for COVID19. I’m currently asymptomatic and isolating myself. I request all those who have come in close contact with me to get themselves tested. I will continue to work from home to serve the people of my state.”

His case is the fourth recorded case of a minister getting infected by the virus in the state after ministers Jitendra Awhad, Ashok Chavan and Dhananjay Munde who have recovered from the virus now. Also, Maharashtra at 3.85% continues to report a CFR higher than the national average.
