Mahesh Babu pens a heartfelt note over the demise of Saroj Khan says, ‘it’s the end of an era’

Nirmala Nagpal, famously known as Saroj Khan is the mother of dance choreography in Bollywood. She has choreographed nearly 2000 songs. The news of her sudden demise came as a shock for her well-wishers.

We have lost our few loving Bollywood celebs during this shitty year 2020. Fans were already in shock with the death news of legendary actor Irfan Khan, Nawazuddin Siddique, Rishi Kapoor, Wajid khan and Sushant Singh Rajput.

And now Saroj Khan, she is the most brilliant and compassionate personality who brings the legacy of female choreographers in Bollywood.
She passed away on 3 July 2020 due to cardiac arrest at Guru Nanak’s hospital in Mumbai at the age of 71.

Famous Bollywood personalities like Amitabh Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit, Sridevi, Shilpa Shetty mourned at the demise of Saroj Khan. Not only Bollywood actors are affected but Bollywood is also filled with a wave of sadness because of her death.

Mahesh babu pens a heartfelt message. He wrote “saddened to hear about the demise of ace choreographer #Sarojkhan …Her timeless classics will continue to inspire generations to come. The end of an era …. Heartfelt condolences to her family and loved one. RIP Saroj
khan.”

Many other Tollywood celebs like Kajal Aggarwal and Tamanna Bhatt pay their tribute to Saroj Khan.

Saroj khan had her best collaboration of times with Sridevi and Madhuri Dixit. Saroj got Bollywood notice when she choreographed Sridevi’s song Hawa Hawai from the movie Mr India. Collaboration with Madhuri and Sridevi was her best work during her career span of 40 years.

She choreographed adorable songs like Ek Do Teen, Dhak Dhak Karne Laga, Tamma Tamma, Dola re Dola and so on.

She is the first recipient of The Filmfare Award for best choreographer and role model for every dancer. She never shied asking about her rights and equality.

In her last post, she pays tribute to Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who took his own life.

Might she is not with us today, but will always remain in the hearts of fans and Bollywood will never forget her contribution towards choreography.
