Mark Ruffalo wishes Benedict Cumberbatch on his Birthday with a BTS photo from MCU film

July 19 marked Benedict Cumberbatch celebrated his 44th birthday and his Avengers co-star Mark Ruffalo tried to make it a special one by sharing a goofy photo of the star as Doctor Strange. Normally a pretty serious actor, a brand new behind-the-scenes photo published by Avengers co-star Mark Ruffalo shows just how playful Doctor Strange can be when he’s not stressed about saving the world.

The British actor has several bow-worthy performances to his credit. This includes the mind-boggling portrayal of Sherlock Holmes into BBC”s Sherlock, Alan Turing into The Imitation Games and many more. But fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe associate the actor with Doctor Strange.

As the protector of the Time stone, the superhero played a vital role into Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. While MCU fans showered the actor with wishes on Sunday, his fellow MCU actor Mark Ruffalo shared a never-before-seen photo of the actor to wish him.

For the Doctor Strange actor’s birthday, Mark Ruffalo took to Twitter and Instagram to wish him, as well as share a photo of the actor on the set of Avengers: Infinity War. Cumberbatch is the into his Doctor Strange attire and posed with a shock expression into the picture. Ruffalo shared the picture with the caption, “Happy Birthday, Benny! Wishing you all the best, brother.”

There are chances the photo was clicked during the making of Avengers: Infinity War. Fans would remember the two shared the scene into the first few minutes of the Russo Brothers directorial after Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner drops into New York’s Sanctum Sanctorum. He explains Thanos’s plans to Doctor Strange, Iron Man and Wong.

On the work front, Ruffalo was recently seen into I Know This Much is the True. His extraordinary performance into the series has already award buzz.
