Due to this change, Ms Pannu has decided to let go of all the training she had received under the previous director and will be starting afresh. The actress then talked about how the movie will be changing the views people have had with regards to cricket as a sport meant only for men and hopes to inspire a lot of female cricketers.

Taapsee went on to reveal more information with regards to the movie, ‘I am always in a dilemma whether to get the game right or focus on her mannerisms and body language on the field. But for (Mithali Raj), the message matters the most. She further added the sexism which prevails in the sport,A cricket bat is the property of men. They are either dismissive of the woman holding a bat, or they want to put her down. If I face this as an actor, I can’t imagine what Mithali has faced through her journey. It must’ve been an arduous journey for women’s cricket to reach where it is today.
