The super talented, bubbly and beautiful YouTuber Prajakta Koli just made her Netflix debut with Mismatched, directed by Akarsh Khurana and Nipun Dharmadhikari. Rohit saraf, the very handsome actor, who already made his acting debut with Dear Zindagi in 2016, is starred opposite her.
This series is based on the 2017 NewYork Times Bestseller Novel When Dimple met Rishi written by Sandhya Menon. It has one season and six episodes. Prajakta is seen playing the character of Dimple Ahuja, a tech wizard and a highly ambitious, freshly graduated girl whose mother is already constantly finding a ‘perfect husband’ for her.
Rishi Patel played by Rohit is a hopeless romantic and believes in the concept of arranged marriage. Dimple and Rishi met at a summer camp, which was pre-planned by their parents. Dimple was completely unaware of this fact whilst Rishi totally agreed to carry along. This series beautifully explores their journey from friendship to eventually falling in love.
Koli describes Mismatched as “Binge-worthy, light-hearted, happy show” while Saraf says “It’s a beautiful amalgamation of love, friendship, acceptance and is very relatable”.
