Many stars have come from rags to riches. Despite the grapples they face, they tend to rise and overcome such criticism. One such star is Shakeela, a South-Indian actress to her fame in the 90’s and early 2000’s. She has worked in over 250 films in the South.
Her own biopic ‘Shakeela’ is being released on 25th of December 2020 with its cast Richa Chadha as Shakeela and actors like Pankaj Tripathi and Rajeev Pillai.
Directed by Indrajit Lankesh, this movie shows the struggles and disapproval faced by Shakeela for her religion, body and colour. Some of her other movies are Dhool, Sandra, Vaseegara and many others.
